We provide individual and family counseling, all delivered remotely through secure telehealth platforms. In addition, we offer consultation and education for other mental health professionals.
Therapy can be helpful for anyone seeking support, insight, or change. Whether you're experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, or just want to understand yourself better, therapy offers a safe space to explore and grow.
All sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You’ll need a device with a camera and microphone, a stable internet connection, and a private space where you feel comfortable talking. We’ll send you a link before each session—just click to join.
Yes, studies show that telehealth is just as effective as in-person therapy for many mental health concerns. It also offers added convenience, flexibility, and access—especially for clients in rural areas, those with mobility challenges, or anyone juggling a busy schedule. However, there are some treatment concerns or levels of care that may require in-person services. If a need for in-person therapy becomes evident, either in initial consultation or during the course of treatment, Fairwater will assist with referral information for possible appropriate providers.
The first session is about getting to know each other. Your therapist will ask about your goals, current concerns, and background. It’s a chance to see if we’re a good fit and to begin creating a treatment plan that works for you.
You can contact us through our phone at 404-490-3277 or by email (scrawley@fairwatercounseling.com) to schedule an initial consultation or first appointment. We’ll guide you through the intake process, help you complete initial consent paperwork electronically, and find the right clinician for your needs.
At this time, we currently are not in network with any insurance plans, but we are happy to provide a superbill that you may be able to submit for out of network reimbursement. We are working to get credentialed with many insurance plans, both commercial and Georgia Medicaid products, so please check back often to see if we have been approved for your plan. Please contact us to discuss your options—we’re happy to help you navigate payment and coverage.
That depends on your needs and goals. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, and frequency may change over time. Your therapist will work with you to find a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable.
Yes, to the limits of the law. Your privacy is very important to us. All sessions are confidential, and we follow strict ethical and legal guidelines to protect your information. We will only share information with your written consent, except in specific circumstances where we are required by law (e.g., risk of harm, mandated reporting, court order).
We ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. This helps us manage our schedule and offer that time to another client. Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a fee, which will be discussed in your initial paperwork.
We encourage you to read our clinician bios and reach out with any questions. We also offer a brief consultation call to help you decide who might be the best fit. A strong therapeutic relationship is key to meaningful progress.
